Aurstaupet is a truly dramatic viewpoint in Norway. It is the most famous stop on the Aursjøvegen. This is a spectacular mountain toll road. It travels between Eresfjord and Sunndalsøra. To get to Aurstaupet, you need to ride gravel. The approx. 100 km long Aursjøvegen is wild, but in good shape – being a toll road. On your way here, you might consider Norwegian Scenic Route Geiranger – Trollstigen, and on the way, maybe make a stop at the impressive Gudbrandsjuvet.
