In Flåklypa, you should visit both Huset Aukrust (The House Aukrust) and Flåklypatoppen.
The House Aukrust was opened in 1996, after after Kari and Kjell Aukrust donated 250 drawings and paintings til Alvdal municipality som years earlier. You will also find a model of the famous car Il Tempo Gigante from the animated movie Flåklypa Grand Prix, the journalist Melvind Snerken’s desk and in Reodor Felgen’s garage, you can make your own chocolate from the chocolate machine.
The Tourist information for Alvdal is also located in House Aukrust. as is a cafeteria and a gift shop.
The latest addition the the center, is Flåklypatoppen, built in 2014. Here you can see the rocket ship Felgen built, and kids can speed-educate themselves to become Flåklypa astronauts. 🙂
It’s a bit on the prizy side though… I payed just over 700 NOKs for two adults and two kids…
Alvdal and Flåklypa is a nice place to stop if you are doing the TET section 2.
