The picturesque and unique Fish Market in Bergen is among Norway’s most visited outdoors markets – offering seafood, fruit and vegetables.
The Fish Market has a charming location in the heart at the wharf not far from the UNESCO site Bryggen. The Fish Market in Bergen has since the 1200s been a meeting place for merchants and fishermen and it has been at the same location since 1566!
You can find fresh fish and seafood, local farm food like fruit, berries and vegetables as well as flowers and plants at the Fish Market. There are also several restaurants serving a large selection of seafood. The indoor Fish Market is open all year and the outdoor Fish Market is open from the 1st of May and during the summer.
