Dalsnibba, also known as the Geiranger Skywalk, is a captivating viewpoint in the heart of the Norwegian fjords. Located at an impressive altitude of 1,500 meters (4,921 feet) above sea level, Dalsnibba offers the highest fjord view by road in Europe.
Breathtaking Views
From the summit of Dalsnibba, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the Geirangerfjord and the snow-capped peaks that stretch as far as the eye can see.
The fjord’s rugged beauty, framed by majestic mountains, creates an unforgettable visual feast. Unlike many other viewpoints, you can reach all the way to the top by bike, so you won’t need to hike to enjoy these awe-inspiring vistas.
Geiranger Skywalk Experience
The Geiranger Skywalk, opened in 2016, provides an exhilarating experience. Its ingenious glass guard rail and unique floor surface make you feel like you’re floating above the fjord. With a sheer drop of approximately 500 meters (about 1,640 feet), you’ll be treated to magnificent views of Geiranger and the Blåbreen glacier.
Shop and Café
The Geiranger Skywalk Shop offers an array of souvenirs, local food, and travel mementoes. Enjoy a snack or pick up a keepsake while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings.
Dalsnibba offers experiences from dawn to dusk. Witnessing the sun rise or set over the UNESCO World Heritage area is a memory to cherish. Late in the season, the canopy of stars on a dark August night is equally unforgettable.
The Nibbevegen Road
The toll road road leading to Dalsnibba is one of Norway’s most ambitious projects. Its sequence of hairpin bends adds excitement and provides a preview of the spectacular views awaiting you at the top. Perfect for us on two wheels!
The Geiranger Skywalk Dalsnibba is open from late May until it’s closed by snow, which can be whenever in September/October/November. You can check out the real-time view from this live web-cam at the top 🏔️
